Desmond Pang Hee Wee

Desmond Pang is a graphic designer who enjoys typography and working with multiple language scripts.

After graduating from NTU, School of Art, Design and Media (ADM) with a BFA in Digital Animation, he went on to receive a MFA in Graphic Design from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). His body of work challenges typographic norms and speculates typographic forms of mixed languages and scripts.

Some of his works have had the opportunity to be exhibited in RISD Graphic Design Triennial (selected for inclusion, 2015), RISD Language vs. Language (selected for inclusion in the curated exhibition, 2015), and Oklahoma State University & Stanford University’s The Art of Asian Languages (selected for inclusion in the juried exhibition, 2017), and in Radical Return (selected for inclusion in the juried exhibition, 2021), originally on view simultaneously at Boston University Art Galleries and IS A GALLERY in Shanghai, China, and later at A plus A Gallery, Venice, Italy (2022).
